Philippines Independence Day or Araw ng Kalayaan is celebrated today in the country. Ang pagdiriwang na ito ay paggunita sa sa ating kalayaan mula sa 300 taon na pananakop ng mga Kastila sa ating bansa. Ngunit ito po ang kauna-unahang pagkakataon na ating matutunghayan na ang selebrasyon ng buong bansa sa araw ng paggunita na suportado ng buong sangay ng gobyerno, telebisyon, radio at mga mamamayan sa buong panig ng daigdig. Sa sangay internasyonal ng ABS-CBN na TFC or the The Filipino Channel has continously pumping up the airwaves of the affair. It is a very nice service of the TV station to broadcast the celebration showing their support. While on the other hand Cebu, Davao and other local governments showed their nationalism by celebrating on their local turf, Filipinos abroad celebrated their own way with parties and gathering especially on embassies and consulates. A nice and true nationalism towards our aim of “pagkakaisa”.
Our own way of showing our support is to blog and congratulate every Filipino in all walks of life, may it be in the Philippines or abroad, our sincere well wishes to everyone especially the OFW’s worldwide who are a part and true heroes and heroines of our country. We salute all of you and our well wishes on this day of Philippine Independence Day.
