Willy Wang Won Wushu Gold Medal
Wow Naman !!!
Do you believe this? Well, it’s true.
At alam niyo ba? Isipin mo, 21 silang lahat na sumabak sa demonstrasyon and he ranked first? Impressive! Habang ang mga participants from Brazil, Macau and Chinese Taipei made the second, third and fourth with scores of 9.72, 9.71 and 9.70, respectively.
This success made the country hoped for a “real gold” in the actual event. As you may know, this sports demonstration event where Wang won the gold medal is not official and so it is not counted technically, kaya hindi pwedeng ilagay ang medalya sa medal standing kasama ng mga regular sport.
Pero syempre dahil positive thinker tayong mga Pinoy, “Optimistic”, ika nga, we are raising our hopes that during the actual wushu event, the Philippine Team will eventually reign once more against other contenders.
During the said sports demonstration, First Gentleman Mike Arroyo was there, which eventually inspired the players to do not just good but do their best! And thankfully, Wang did!
Furthermore, Hollywood action star, Jet Li, who is also a renowned martial art expert, was also there to grace the event as the guest speaker.
On the other hand, si Benjie Rivera, Mary Jane Estimar and Marian Mariano also won the event at nakatitiyak na sa bronze medal. Sila ay sasabak ngayong Sabado, August 23, para sa semi-finals at siyempre pa, umaasa ang RP team that they will bring home the bacon.
